We work closely with Kids First Nurseries that are based within our trust grounds at Wansbeck, North Tyneside and Hexham hospitals to care for our Trust family’s children, they offer care for children from 6 weeks old up to 4 years. Job overview

As a Senior Digital Business Analyst, you will work within a collaborative, agile, and cross-functional environment to deliver solutions across a range of platforms. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery on a range of digital projects and improvements across Northumbria Trust.

You will lead the analysis on how technology can be used to develop new systems and transform existing services to support business needs. You will analyse and evaluate business processes; analyse stakeholder objectives, investigate business requirements and identify potential benefits and options available for consideration.

Main duties of the job

  • Analyse and evaluate business processes; identifying alternative solutions including assessment of process feasibility and articulation of process requirements.
  • Analyse stakeholder objectives, investigate business requirements and identify potential benefits and options available for consideration.
  • Handle complex analysis activities in often contentious situations to ensure common understanding of difficult and sometimes unpalatable ideas.
  • Model current and desired scenarios as directed using appropriate modelling techniques, gaining agreement from subject matter experts and ensure stakeholder issues with resultant models are resolved.
  • Work across a number of Analysis disciplines where incoming data is complex/heterogeneous and which requires prompt, efficient and consistent consideration and response.
  • Review multiple process streams of often conflicting data, identifying the anomalies to extract the value. The data may come from suppliers or internally and therefore the ability to understand the relevance and criticality of the data is essential.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting on the performance of areas under analysis for suppliers or end users.
  • Rapidly identify risks or issues relating to or uncovered by analysis activities. Ensure these are accurately and formally raised with line/project/service management.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for supporting the delivery on a range of digital projects and improvements across Northumbria Trust. The successful candidate will lead the analysis on how technology can be used to develop new systems and transform existing services to offer digital services which enhance patient experience and promote improved outcomes.

The post holder must be able to analyse and evaluate business processes; analyse stakeholder objectives, investigate business requirements and identify potential benefits and options available for consideration.

The role will involve reviewing pathways and processes across a wide range of care settings, working with clinical staff and patients. This role will also involve the creation of business cases, requirements development, as is and to be process mapping, benefits identification and realisation.

The post holder will work collaboratively as part of an Agile multidisciplinary project team working closely with stakeholders throughout the delivery process.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • In depth specialist knowledge of a range of work procedures, majority non-routine, acquired through degree or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through training and relevant experience to masters degree level or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and experience in obtaining input from and communicating modelling results to senior managers for agreement.
