Role Information We’re growing, evolving, and strengthening our commitment to safe, effective healthcare delivery — and we’re looking for a forward‑thinking Risk & Controls Analyst to join our Finance team and help us drive smarter, safer decision‑making across the organisation.

This is a hybrid working role, coming into our Burton office at least 2 days a week.

As our new Risk & Controls Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role at the heart of our risk management function. You’ll help us understand the risks and opportunities that shape the future of our organisation, challenge thinking across the business, and support senior leaders in making informed, confident decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyse & Interpret Risk Data – Collect, organise, and analyse data from across the enterprise; Identify trends, emerging threats, and areas for improvement
  • Support Risk Assessments – Work closely with the Head of Audit & Risk and Senior Risk Manager; Help departments understand their risks and develop strong mitigation strategies
  • Drive Insightful Reporting – Produce accurate, engaging risk reports and dashboards; Ensure all activity is clearly documented and audit-ready
  • Improve Processes & Controls – Bring fresh analytical insights; Suggest enhancements to make our risk processes stronger and more efficient
  • Collaborate Across the Business – Be a trusted partner to cross-functional teams; Provide guidance on risk matters with clarity and confidence
  • Assist with External Audits – Help prepare accurate, validated risk data; Support smooth, timely audit delivery

What You Bring

  • Analytical, with strong ability to interpret and communicate complex data
  • Detail‑driven, with a high standard of accuracy
  • Technically strong, with good Excel skills and familiarity with risk tools
  • A great communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, curious, and always looking for ways to improve processes

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSEs in Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 3 or GCE A‑Level (or equivalent)
  • Professional risk and/or audit experience
  • Experience using risk management systems

Desirable

  • Undergraduate degree

Working Toward IRM Or IIA Qualifications

  • Experience with data analytics tools
