System Administrator

Systems Administrator – Belfast ( up to £40k) A growing and forward-thinking organisation is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Belfast-based team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a modern, cloud-first IT environment and play a key role in supporting business growth through reliable, secure, and scalable technology. This role would suit someone who enjoys working across a broad technical landscape, from endpoint management and cloud infrastructure to security and user support. The Role You will be responsible for managing and supporting the organisation’s IT environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud technologies, endpoint management, and security. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-user devices including laptops, mobiles, and tablets Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments Managing device configuration, compliance, and deployment through MDM solutions (Intune) Supporting identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD) Maintaining and improving security posture, including endpoint protection and policies Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues Supporting internal systems such as collaboration and ticketing platforms Managing backup, disaster recovery, and data protection processes Creating and maintaining technical documentation What You’ll Need 3-5+ years’ experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Hands-on experience with Intune / endpoint management Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD (users, policies, access control) Exposure to security tools such as Microsoft Defender Experience with MDM and endpoint security best practices Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, devices, and networks Nice to Have Experience with tools such as Jira or Confluence Exposure to backup and disaster recovery strategies Knowledge of security frameworks or compliance standards Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits Opportunity to work in a growing, tech-driven environment Strong scope for progression and development Collaborative and supportive team culture Real ownership and impact across the IT function Location Belfast (on-site / hybrid depending on business needs) To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity, please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided, or contact Daire O’Connor at MCS Group: Even if this position isn’t right for you, MCS Group may have others that are.
