About you Minimum of 10 years’ experience in utilities, electrical distribution, or a similar utility sector Proven leadership in managing teams including contractors and subcontractors Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent communication abilities Good commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and costs Demonstrable civils project experience, both field and back office Ability to lead, motivate, and develop field teams Proficiency in technical reporting, proposals, and contract management Excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency Full, clean driving licence and a flexible approach aligned with project demands A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with innovative and creative problem-solving skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders What you’ll do Oversee seamless delivery of civil and cabling projects within specified geographical areas, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency Drive a “Safety First” and “Right First Time” culture across all field operations, backed by strategic planning and supplier engagement Manage day-to-day operations, including staff management, work scheduling, and performance reviews Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify risks early to ensure financial targets are met Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, partners, and key stakeholders Investigate incidents, near misses, and quality issues, implementing corrective actions swiftly Provide regular, accurate reporting to senior management on project status, risks, and operational performance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
