Job Description:

JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting aerospace precision engineering company in Leicester to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to support high-value, complex manufacturing operations within a structured and forward-thinking environment.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI), continuous improvement initiatives, and day-to-day manufacturing excellence within a highly regulated aerospace/automotive setting.

The Successful Manufacturing Engineer – Package:

  • Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum

  • Shift Pattern:

    • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 & Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

  • Office-based day shift role

The Successful Manufacturing Engineer – Requirements:

  • Experience working within an Aerospace and/or Automotive production environment

  • HND or higher in Engineering (Electronic Engineering or similar preferred)

  • Excellent knowledge of CNC machining techniques

  • Strong understanding of methods of manufacture for complex components and assemblies

  • Ability to create, control, and maintain manufacturing documentation including:

    • Set-up packs

    • Stage drawings

    • SOPs and work instructions

  • Experience supporting NPDI gated processes, including:

    • Cost estimation

    • Manufacturing routes

    • Customer approvals

  • Confident using engineering software to create and validate CNC programs

  • CAD/CAM experience advantageous (SolidWorks / SolidWorks CAM preferred)

  • Ability to design and implement tooling and fixturing to support safe and efficient production

  • Strong problem-solving capability using structured methodologies (PFMEA, root cause analysis, etc.)

  • Experience supporting LEAN / CI / GEMBA activities

  • Able to interpret complex engineering drawings

  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project

  • Confident working independently with strong organisational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
