Senior Planner Manchester | Hybrid working | Competitive salary benefits An established and growing private planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join its Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced town planner to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the North West and beyond, within a supportive and commercially astute environment. The Role As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in managing planning applications and providing high-quality planning advice to a broad client base, including developers, landowners, and investors. You will be given real responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff. Key responsibilities include: Managing and delivering a range of planning applications (major and minor) Preparing planning statements, appeals, and site appraisals Providing commercial planning advice to clients Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants Supporting junior planners and contributing to team development Playing an active role in client relationships and business development About You MRTPI qualified (or working towards with significant experience) Strong experience in a private consultancy or similar commercial environment Proven track record managing planning applications and client relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commercially aware, proactive, and client-focused Knowledge of the Manchester / North West planning landscape is advantageous What’s on Offer Competitive salary, dependent on experience Discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Clear progression pathway within a growing consultancy Exposure to high-quality, varied projects and respected clients Interested?
