Town Planner – Manchester £30k-£40k We’re working with a well-established planning consultancy in Manchester that’s looking to bring a Town Planner into their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real project exposure, a clear progression path, and the chance to shape developments across the North West. The role You’ll be involved in a broad mix of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, supporting clients from early feasibility through to determination. The role offers genuine responsibility, client interaction, and mentorship from senior planners. What you’ll be doing Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals Undertaking site appraisals and planning research Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and clients Contributing to planning statements and supporting reports Keeping up to date with local and national planning policy What we’re looking for Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline MRTPI (or working towards it) Experience in a consultancy or local authority setting Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive, commercially aware approach What’s on offer Competitive salary (DOE) Hybrid working and flexible hours Clear route to progression and MRTPI support Friendly, collaborative Manchester-based team Exposure to high-quality, varied projects If you’re a Town Planner based in or around Manchester and looking for your next step, this is one worth exploring.
