Our client is delivering one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects — and growing their Commercial and Supply Chain team. We’re seeking experienced commercial manager to manage some of the most high-value and complex packages within the programme.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation engineering effort that will impact the UK’s long-term energy and sustainability goals.
Your Role
You will lead the commercial strategy and execution across major procurement and contract portfolios — from civil and nuclear construction to equipment and enabling works. Working across a wide stakeholder network, including Tier 1 contractors, regulators, and internal delivery teams, you’ll ensure outcomes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Lead complex procurement activities from end to end
- Drive value, transparency, and regulatory compliance
- Negotiate and award high-value contracts aligned to delivery timelines
Post-Award Contract Management
- Manage supplier performance, relationships, and obligations
- Lead on contract governance, change control, and risk mitigation
- Provide strategic oversight and ensure delivery of contract objectives
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team
- Act as a key liaison with regulators, government, and delivery partners
- Champion collaboration, commercial excellence, and a strong safety culture
What We’re Looking For
- Proven senior experience in commercial or supply chain leadership on major infrastructure or energy projects
- Strong background in both procurement and contract management
- In-depth understanding of NEC/FIDIC contract frameworks
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated commercial judgment and leadership capability
- Degree-qualified
- Experience in nuclear, energy, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with the UK’s regulatory and supply chain landscape
- Understanding of nuclear safety case requirements or licence conditions
