We are working exclusively with a well established, growth focused technology business to recruit an Interim Management Accountant on an immediate basis. This is a hands on, varied role at the heart of the finance function, offering the chance to make a real impact within a collaborative and commercially driven team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting activities while supporting the broader finance team with high-quality reporting, forecasting, and business partnering.
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGOwn the daily accounting cycle – including purchase ledger, intercompany invoicing, expenses, and payment runsPrepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary on key performance metrics and trendsCollate and report the daily group cash position with accuracy and timelinessSupport preparation of financial forecasts including revenue projections, expense budgets, and cashflowMonitor performance against budget, proactively identifying variances and improvement opportunitiesReconcile intercompany accounts and balance sheets on a monthly basisPrepare payroll calculations for submission to external bureau (circa 20 employees)Act as a business partner to operational leads, providing financial leadership and support for asset tracking and ad hoc queriesActively contribute to internal and external audit processesIdentify and drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives across the finance function WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORQualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)Proven experience in a management accounting or finance business partnering roleStrong Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting systems – Sage 200 experience advantageousExcellent communicator, able to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholdersHighly organised and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environmentAvailable at short notice and comfortable hitting the ground running in an interim to perm role IPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market. xwzovoh We have built our business on long term relationships with both individuals and clients in all sectors, bringing real benefits to all concerned.
