We are seeking a passionate and driven Registered Manager to lead our established Ofsted-registered 5-bed EBD childrens home in Ilford (currently 1 young person placed).

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the home to deliver outstanding, person-centred care while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for safeguarding, quality, staff leadership, financial performance, and business development, with a clear focus on achieving and maintaining at least a Good Ofsted rating.

You will also participate in the managers out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an Ofsted-regulated service

  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety compliance

  • Deliver high-quality, outcome-focused childcare

  • Inspire, develop and manage staff performance

  • Oversee financial viability and occupancy

  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • Minimum Level 3 in Residential Childcare

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager

  • Meets Regulation 28 requirements (Childrens Homes Regulations 2015)

  • Strong leadership, communication and commercial skills
