Role: Design Engineer Salary: up to £40,000 Location: Keighley Hybrid Remote The Opportunity:This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking engineering business working on innovative, high-value machinery projects. As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing both new and existing mechanical systems to meet customer and project requirements.Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, the Design Engineer will be involved across the full design lifecycle — from concept through to completion — while contributing to continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Design and develop new components, mechanisms, and machine systemsModify and improve existing designs to meet customer specificationsSupport manufacturing and assembly teams during build and commissioning stagesIdentify opportunities for design improvements and value engineeringProduce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentationCreate and maintain records in line with company and customer standardsIssue machine parts in line with delivery schedules using internal systemsSupport the sales team with technical input for bids and proposalsConduct design reviews, DFMEA and PFMEA activitiesWork on a range of machine design projects including specification, mechanisms, and toolingEnsure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards What we’re looking for: We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Design Engineer who can contribute across the full design lifecycle.
