This is a key leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations to ensure products are delivered on time, to quality, and at optimal cost, while leading and developing a high-performing production team.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople & LeadershipLead and develop a culture of accountability across the production functionEnsure effective resource planning to cover planned and unplanned events (absences, holidays, training, breakdowns, etc.)Manage and develop the production management team in line with skills matrices and performance development processesLead and support return-to-work meetings, disciplinary, grievance, and investigation processes in line with company proceduresOrganise, chair, and participate in management meetings as requiredAudit management teams to ensure compliance with SOPs, best practice, and operational standardsEnsure first-line operator maintenance activities are carried out effectivelyHealth, Safety, Environment & WellbeingLead and coach accident investigations and corrective action teamsManage and maintain risk assessment programmesIdentify and implement health & safety improvementsAct as a key member of Fire, First Aid, and Emergency Response systemsManage toolbox talks and regular safety briefingsActively participate in Health & Safety management meetingsSupport inductions for new management team membersIdentify and implement relevant health & safety training requirementsBenchmark and drive health & safety best practiceQuality, Cost & DeliveryMonitor quality, delivery, and productivity data, identifying trends and driving improvementEnsure corrective action reports (CARs) are raised and closed effectivelyLiaise closely with Quality teams on quality-related issuesLead structured problem-solving activities to deliver sustainable solutionsIdentify and implement cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiativesRaise capital expenditure requests where equipment or process improvements are identifiedEnsure products are delivered to the next process to achieve 100% On Time In Full (OTIF) performanceRequirements Proven experience in a Production / Manufacturing Management roleStrong leadership and people management skillsSolid understanding of health & safety, quality, and continuous improvementConfident in leading investigations, audits, and improvement projectsData-driven with the ability to analyse performance and implement changeExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsWhat’s on OfferSalary up to £50,000 Depending on experiencePermanent role within a stable and growing manufacturing businessOpportunity to make a real impact on performance, culture, and operational excellence…
