This role offers a clear development pathway toward future Director opportunities.About the RoleAs an Associate Project Manager, you will manage and deliver a wide range of project and programme management services, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest professional standard. You will take responsibility for leading projects, supporting the wider PM team, developing junior colleagues, and strengthening client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver projects and professional commissions from inception to completionLead multiple projects as the primary project managerMaintain clear and effective communication across project teamsManage client and project teams to deliver services on time and within budgetUndertake site visits, surveys, and meetings with contractors, clients, and stakeholdersProduce accurate and timely project outputs, reporting, and documentationBuild strong, professional relationships with clients through effective communication and deliveryMentor and support junior staff, helping them progress toward RICS or equivalent chartershipContribute to business development activities and help generate new opportunitiesSupport the Northern Head of Project Management with day-to-day team operationsManage project finances, including forecasting, reporting, and fee managementPrepare proposal content and support bid submissionsLead multidisciplinary consultant teams on a range of construction projectsMonitor project performance, proactively managing risks and taking corrective action where requiredEstablish strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring requirements and approvals are fully capturedOversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring all goals and deliverables are defined and achievedCoordinate design, development, construction, commissioning, and technical inputs using internal SMEsManage change control processes in line with client requirements through to successful handoverReport on cost, programme, health and safety, and project performance using appropriate toolsWhat Were Looking ForDegree in project management, construction management, building surveying, engineering, or equivalentChartered status (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) or membership of an equivalent professional bodyMinimum five years project delivery experience within a consultancy or contractor environmentExperience in pre- and post-contract services and reporting to external clientsProficiency with estimating software, including BIM-linked toolsStrong written, verbal, and client-facing communication skillsWell-organised, proactive, commercially aware, and able to manage competing prioritiesA collaborative team player with a positive, professional, and flexible approachDesirable ExperiencePrevious line management experience and ability to delegate effectivelyProgramming/scheduling skills (MS Project, ASTA, or equivalent)Design management experienceProject financial management and cash flow forecastingFamiliarity with NEC and JCT forms of contractBroad experience across capital and revenue projectsStrong understanding of project management methodologies (particularly APM)Ability to run projects independently with minimal senior oversightAbout The CompanyWhy Currie & Brown?Currie & Brown is one of the worlds leading physical assets management and construction consultancies, known for our expertise, innovation, and global reach.
