About the Role
A forward-thinking construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to lead and develop a brand-new Building Surveying division within the business.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and commercially minded surveyor to spearhead a new department, shape service offerings, and build a team from the ground up. The role offers genuine autonomy, leadership responsibility, and the chance to influence the strategic direction of the companys growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing and leading the Building Surveying department
- Developing and expanding service lines within the business
- Winning new work and strengthening existing client relationships
- Delivering a full range of building surveying services, including:
- Contract administration
- Dilapidations
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Technical due diligence
- Condition surveys
- Project management
- Overseeing project delivery across public and private sector clients
- Recruiting, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team
- Contributing to business development strategy and revenue growth
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practice
Requirements
- MRICS qualified (essential)
- Strong background in Building Surveying within a consultancy environment
- Proven experience delivering projects independently
- Commercial awareness and business development capability

- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
