Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Technician role Competently perform the duties of a qualified technician as part of a team engaged in installation, modification, maintenance, repair, testing and trials of electrical systems and equipment Carry out installation activities in accordance with relevant drawings and Safe Systems of Work Support operations including testing and trials Undertake maintenance and repair tasks Carry out support installation, modification, EMIT (Examination, Maintenance, Inspection & Test) and decommissioning activities as required Work from schematics, diagrams and engineering drawings to install equipment Install systems and equipment in compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements Completion of a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent training City & Guilds Level 3 certification in Electrical Engineering Experience in electrical installation, examination, maintenance, inspection & test and decommissioning Work experience within engineering, science or construction environments
Experience working on a nuclear licensed site or similar high-hazard environment
