Hays is delighted to be working with a long-established, independent school who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the day to day financial operations. Finance Manager Full Time hours – Mainly on-site Working closely with Finance & Operations, you will lead the finance function, producing accurate and timely financial information to support the school’s strategic and operational goals. You will also have the opportunity to manage a small finance team whilst working closely with both support and academic staff.Lead month-end processes and produce management accounts Maintain strong financial controls and oversee reconciliations Manage cashflow, banking, treasury and debtor control Oversee payroll processes, staff benefits and financial HR data Prepare audit files and support year-end and statutory accounts Drive process improvements across the finance function Lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team Fully Qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Understanding of accounting within public or third party organisations Advanced Excel & strong systems capability Experienced of producing detailed financial reports Confident communicator able to work with non-finance colleagues Competitive salary Professional development opportunities Pension and staff benefit schemes
