Contract: Full Time, Monday Friday BEAR Scotland is a leading provider of highway maintenance services across Scotland. We manage and maintain over 2,000km of Scotlands trunk road network, tackling just about every imaginable task and working round the clock to help keep Scotland moving. Since 2000 we have been involved in five generations of Transport Scotland Trunk Road Operating Company contracts covering various areas of Scotland and are presently responsible for approximately 60% of Scotlands trunk road network. North WestandSouth EastScottish Trunk Road Units&M80 DBFO and A92 DBFO. The South-East Unit includes 870 bridges and structures including the iconic Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge, as well as other major bridges such as the Kincardine Bridge and Clackmannanshire Bridge. We have an exciting opportunity forEducation Programme Managerto join our existing team on a full-time basis.With a?planned retirement?shape the future of our Education Programme. As part of this role, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive schoolseducation programme designed to inspire young people and promote interest in STEM subjects and careers from primary through to secondary level. Creating engaging,practicaland relevant content thatshowcasesreallife engineering, transport planning, and trunk road management
~ Delivering sessions bothface-to-faceand through virtual platforms to reach a wide range of schools and pupils
~ Working collaboratively with colleagues across BEAR Scotland, making use of theexpertiseof STEM Ambassadors to enhance delivery and pupil engagement
Develop,maintainand manage a comprehensive and diverse education programme that delivers to the varying needs and abilities ofprimary school pupils, secondary schoolpupilsandschoolworkexperience placements.
~ Oversee creation and delivery of educational content that has specific streams to deliver the key themes to each target age group
~ SupportBEARSTEM Ambassadors in development of ideas for school interactions
~ Reporting and analysis of educational outreach delivered within the programme, feeding into other relevant reports.
~ Creation of content,organisationand delivery of education elements ofkey milestoneeventsrelating torelevant Transport Scotland assets (Such as bridge anniversaries)
~ Supporting Transport Scotland initswider STEM Engineering Programmes,liaisingwith other units, Eg, Acadamy9
~ Organisation and management of events to enhance education access for young peopleoutwithschool events such as Easter and Summer Programmes.
A genuine passion for inspiring young people and encouraging them to explore careers in STEM Engineering
~ Strongengineering and/or transport knowledge, supported by practical project experience across relevant fields.
~ Experience developing and delivering educational content, particularly related to engineering themes within STEM
~ Experience supporting and developing others, enabling colleagues or partners to confidently deliver in this field.
