Senior Children’s Support Worker Location: Salary: £13.60 £14.20 per hour (£27,580 £28,797 per annum) Sleep-in Allowance: £3,000 £6,000 per year Hours: 39 hours per week full-time long day shifts plus sleep-ins Contract: Full-time, temporary contract with the opportunity to become permanent Our client is seeking an experienced, resilient, and nurturing Senior Childrens Support Worker to join one of their family-style residential homes in Warrington. You will be supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including some individuals who are non-verbal. You will provide encouragement and praise, remain calm and patient during times of crisis, and use your experience and passion to inspire colleagues and help achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in your care. Personal care is a required part of this position. Minimum of 12 months experience working in complex care Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care (recognised within pay rate) Experience or knowledge of child-centred and therapeutic care models Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient approach Ability to work shifts and sleep-ins as part of a flexible rota Makaton or BSL skills are desirable but not essential Full UK Driving Licence is beneficial Fully funded training and qualifications~ Enhanced maternity and paternity pay~ Free meals during shifts~ Comprehensive employee benefits programme~ NEST Pension Scheme~ Life assurance~ Free enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check~28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)~ Staff Referral Scheme split a £500 bonus when you refer a friend~ Safeguarding & Equality Our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
