Equifind have partnered with a global private equity group to help them recruit a newly qualified accountant to join their team as a Finance Analyst.
The Finance Analyst will serve as a key liaison between the finance department and various business units within the company. This role requires a strong blend of financial expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to provide insightful financial analysis, strategic guidance, and support to senior management and department heads.
Key Duties Include:
- Partner with department heads and project teams to assess the financial viability and profitability of new initiatives, projects and investments.
- Build financial models and run scenario analysis to show the impact of strategic decisions on overall performance.
- Oversee the monthly reporting cycle (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow), ensuring timely delivery of draft financials and highlighting key points for discussion.
- Take ownership of business line reporting and analysis, making sure transactions are recorded in line with current reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations, applying sound judgement on more technical items.
- Support the year-end audit and tax process.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant.
- A minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Sound understanding of IFRS reporting standards.
- Great communication skills and the ability to speak finance to non-finance personnel.
- Strong excel skills and advanced modelling.
- Exceptional commercial awareness.
Compensation:
- Base salary of £60-70,000.
