Employment Solicitor – Managing Associate

Manchester | Hybrid Working | Up to £110,000 + Excellent Benefits

A highly regarded national employment team is looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor at Managing Associate level as part of its continued growth in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, top-tier practice advising a broad client base including major corporates, public sector organisations and senior executives. The role offers significant client contact, responsibility for complex matters and the opportunity to play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

Working closely with the Partner and Head of Department, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to mentoring junior lawyers and developing client relationships within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will advise on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:

  • Unfair and wrongful dismissal claims
  • Restrictive covenant and employment contract disputes
  • Discrimination, equality and whistleblowing matters
  • TUPE advice and employment aspects of corporate transactions
  • Redundancy programmes and organisational change projects
  • Day-to-day HR advisory work for clients

The team is recognised for delivering commercial, pragmatic advice on complex workplace issues across a wide range of sectors.

Ideal candidate profile

Applications are welcomed from Employment Solicitors who are currently operating at Managing Associate level or ready to step up into the role.

You will likely demonstrate:

  • Strong respondent-side employment law experience from a respected employment practice
  • Experience advising on both contentious and advisory employment matters
  • The confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and clients
  • A collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring junior team members
  • A desire to contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice
