Job Description:
Our client, a well-established regional contractor based in the North West, is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £10 million industrial unit development.
Working as part of a professional site and commercial team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of a £10m industrial unit project
- Subcontract procurement and package management
- Preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports
- Monitoring project budgets and forecasting
- Contract administration under JCT forms of contract
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Supporting the project to ensure delivery within commercial targets
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on industrial or commercial construction projects
- Experience on projects typically £5m–£10m
- Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
