We are hiring a Regional Engineering Manager – North to lead and develop a team of field-based engineers delivering cutting-edge vehicle CCTV, telematics and AI-powered safety systems across commercial fleets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager, Field Service Manager or Automotive Technical Manager looking to step into a regional leadership role with real impact.
About the Business
Our client operates within the fast-growing vehicle safety and fleet technology sector, delivering:
- Vehicle CCTV & camera systems
- Mobile Digital Video Recorders (MDVR)
- AI-powered collision avoidance & blind spot detection
- Fleet monitoring & telematics solutions
Their systems are installed across:
- HGVs & commercial fleets
- Municipal & public sector vehicles
- Construction & specialist vehicles
The focus is on improving road safety, compliance, driver protection and operational visibility.
The Role – Regional Engineering Manager
As Regional Engineering Manager, you will take full responsibility for engineering operations across the North of England, ensuring installations and service delivery meet the highest quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead, manage and develop a team of field-based engineers
✅ Set and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
✅ Oversee job allocation, scheduling and resource planning
✅ Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and ISO standards
✅ Conduct on-site quality audits
✅ Support technical escalations and customer issue resolution
✅ Deliver training and maintain skills matrix
✅ Drive continuous improvement across engineering operations
This is a hybrid leadership role requiring field visibility, operational oversight and strong people management capability.
What We’re Looking For
✔️ Experience managing field-based engineering teams
✔️ Background in vehicle technology, automotive electrics, CCTV, telematics or similar
✔️ Strong operational and KPI management experience
✔️ Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
✔️ Experience working within ISO-regulated environments (desirable)
✔️ Strong communication and leadership skills
