Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical)

This is a chance to join a newly formed Production Engineering team working on advanced products, in a role where you can make a genuine impact. You will be involved in bringing new products into manufacture, improving build processes, supporting production challenges and helping shape a more efficient, scalable manufacturing environment.
It would suit a mechanically minded engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, process improvement and being close to the detail of how things are built.
What you will be doing:
- New product introduction
- Manufacturing and assembly process improvement
- Tooling, jigs and fixture design & development
- Production support and issue resolution
- Build documentation and work instructions
- Cross-functional working with engineering, quality and operations
Required skills and experience:
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar mechanically focused role
- Mechanical Engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing methods including machining, sheet metal, injection moulding and assembly
- Experience designing jigs, fixtures, tooling or mechanical test equipment
- Hands-on problem-solving ability
- Able to work effectively & collaboratively across engineering and production teams
Desirable experience:
- NPI / product transfer into manufacture
- DFM / DFA
- Complex engineered products
- Engineering change / quality process exposure
