Socode are partnering with a growing engineering-led business delivering complex products into global markets. As their programme portfolio expands, they’re looking to appoint a Head of Project Management to lead delivery and build a high-performing project function.
This is a strategic role focused on improving how projects are executed across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for establishing best practices, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring programmes are aligned with business goals.
What will you be doing?
• Leading and developing the project management capability across the organisation
• Defining and embedding structured delivery processes and governance frameworks
• Overseeing a portfolio of programmes, ensuring consistent execution
• Supporting project managers in planning, delivery and stakeholder engagement
• Driving improvements in reporting, risk management and resource planning
• Acting as a key link between engineering, operations and leadership teams
• Providing clear visibility of project performance and progress
• Building and mentoring a high-performing project management team
What are they looking for?
• Strong experience leading project or programme management within an engineering or technical environment
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programmes
• Experience implementing or improving project management frameworks
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple programmes
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement
• Structured and organised approach to delivery
• Degree in Engineering, Science or similar, or equivalent experience
Nice to have
• Experience scaling teams or functions within a growing organisation
• Familiarity with recognised delivery methodologies (e.g. gated processes, Agile, PRINCE2)
• Background in product-based or manufacturing environments
• Exposure to international or multi-site programme delivery
