Employment Associate (3–5 PQE)
This is a leading international law firm with a highly regarded employment team. The London office is seeking a talented Employment Associate (3–5 PQE) to join the team of a Legal 500 recognised partner specialising in the employment aspects of complex international transactions.
- Title: Associate
- Location: London
- Salary: £100,000 – £125,000
- Work pattern: hybrid
- Experience: Strong non-contentious transactional experience supporting on major transactions is preferred.
The team advises multinational clients on the employment issues arising from major corporate transactions, including multi-jurisdictional carve-outs, mergers and acquisitions, outsourcings, business transfers and reorganisations.
Recent work
- Advising a leading name in the entertainment industry on the separation of a subsidiary from its global parent and its subsequent sale to another international leisure and entertainment corporation.
- Advising on a multi-jurisdictional carve-out and disposal – one of the most significant of its kind in the healthcare sector.
- Advising a leading private equity firm on employment aspects of the acquisition of a global cybersecurity company involving employee transfers in multiple jurisdictions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, cross-border transactions for leading multinational clients across sectors including entertainment, healthcare, retail and financial services.
Snapshot of the opportunity
The successful candidate will advise clients on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and organisational change, including:
- Employment issues arising from M&A and corporate transactions
- TUPE and international employee transfers
- Global restructurings and reorganisations
- Workforce strategy relating to international business change
Candidate requirements
Applicants should have:
- 3–5 years’ PQE in employment law
- Experience advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience within a recognised employment or international law firm practice
