Miryco Consultants is partnered exclusively with a high-performing and fast growing Investment Management business who are looking to add an Operational Risk Manager to the team.
You will act as a senior team member, working from a 2nd line perspective but providing genuine challenge and impact to the first line.
The team are looing for someone who take a leadership role for the corporate functions of the business (finance, compliance, legal being specifically mentioned).
This is an ideal role for an Manager who is senior enough to lead a business pillar but is happy take a hands on approach to their work.
An investment banking background is not a pre-requisite but will be advantageous.
Overview:
- Engage with Senior Stakeholders across the business to ensure key operational risks are identified and mitigated.
- Lead delivery of in-depth reviews of business operations and the surrounding control environment, particularly areas of change and growth.
- Support the team’s technical work including stress testing, scenario analysis, and operational risk quantification;
- Provide review, guidance and challenge to the Risk and Control Self-Assessments (‘RCSA’) process. Carrying out root cause analysis and overseeing 1st line remediation activity.
- Actively contribute to risk committees.
Desired Experience:
- Preferably 7+ years of relevant experience within Operational/Enterprise Risk.
- Experience working within Financial Services, ideally from an investment bank or asset manager.
- Strong project management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
