Procurement Manager – Indirect Services
Salary: £55k – £70k + benefits
Location: London / Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days from home)
JSS have partnered with a leading global business to recruit a Procurement Manager to support the delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives across a broad range of indirect procurement categories.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex tenders, engage with senior stakeholders across the business, and drive commercial value through effective sourcing and supplier management.
This position sits within a dynamic procurement team responsible for managing mid-to-high value projects across areas such as Professional Services, Facilities Management, Property, Construction, and HR services.
The Role will involve:
Strategic Sourcing
- Lead sourcing initiatives across a range of indirect categories.
- Conduct supplier and market analysis, benchmarking, and cost modelling.
- Develop data-driven procurement recommendations aligned to business objectives.
Tender Management
- Manage tenders from initial market research through to supplier selection.
- Develop tender documentation and evaluation scorecards.
- Present commercially robust recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Negotiations & Contracting
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, addressing both technical and commercial considerations.
- Deliver strong commercial outcomes through effective negotiation strategies.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance and clarity of terms.
Category Development
- Support the development and rollout of new procurement categories.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improved service delivery models.
- Drive continuous improvement through internal and external market insights.
Supplier & Contract Management
- Manage the full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and performance tracking.
- Develop productive supplier relationships and identify performance improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with internal departments to understand requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies.
- Provide clear updates and insights to senior stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor on procurement strategy and commercial decision making.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a procurement or strategic sourcing role.
- Experience across indirect procurement categories is highly desirable.
- CIPS Level 4 or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing suppliers, tenders, and contracts.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Confident negotiator with the ability to present to senior audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
