Role Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a highly ranked Housing Management team within a respected Dispute Resolution department. The team advises registered social landlords and local authorities across England and Wales on a wide range of housing litigation matters.

The role offers exposure to varied and complex work including tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour matters, homelessness issues, housing disrepair claims, and regulatory changes affecting the housing sector.

This position would suit a newly qualified solicitor or lawyer with up to four years’ PQE looking to develop a specialist career in housing litigation within a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing housing litigation matters: Develop expertise in tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour and housing disputes

Preparing court documentation: Gain hands-on experience across a broad range of housing management cases

Attending hearings and advocacy: Build litigation and courtroom experience

Client advisory work: Work closely with social housing providers and public sector clients

Negotiating settlements and resolutions: Help achieve efficient outcomes for clients

Supporting and supervising paralegals: Develop mentoring and team leadership experience

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (NQ – 4 years PQE)

• Advocacy and/or litigation experience

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent client care and communication skills

• Ability to manage competing deadlines within a busy litigation environment

If this role isn’t quite right, it’s still worth speaking to one of our specialist team — we may be working on something that hasn’t hit the market yet.
