Health & Safety Officer

UK (Hybrid) | 12-Month FTC | Up to £50,000 + Benefits

We are supporting a well-established, global organisation providing a range of insurance services, claims management, and technology solutions across the insurance market. They are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role sits within a small Workplace & Real Estate team, reporting into the HSE Manager, and will take ownership of health and safety across a UK-wide office portfolio. It is a hands-on position with a high level of autonomy and visibility, with potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation across multiple sites
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and support incident investigations
  • Lead fire safety and workplace H&S activities
  • Act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders
  • Support ISO and management systems
  • Manage day-to-day H&S responsibilities independently

Candidate Profile

  • NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent)
  • Circa 3+ years’ H&S experience
  • Experience in corporate, property, or multi-site environments preferred (internal)
  • Strong knowledge of H&S compliance and regulations
  • Exposure to ISO systems

Location

  • Hybrid / home-based with UK travel
