Job Description:
Python Developer – SC – Contract 6M – Outside IR35
We’re looking for a hands-on Python Developer to join a high-performing team delivering modern applications and migrating legacy systems into scalable, web-based solutions.
This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused role where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real-world, high-impact projects across multiple customer environments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and maintaining Python-based back-end services (APIs, background tasks)
- Developing web applications (Flask, FastAPI, or Django)
- Supporting legacy system modernisation & data migrations
- Working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Writing clean, testable code and contributing to CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborating in a DevOps-driven, containerised (Docker) environment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience with REST APIs & web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask or Django)
- Solid understanding of SQL & data handling
- Familiarity with Git, Docker & Linux environments
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
