Junior Employment Solicitor

£45,000 – £55,000

Chester (hybrid)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior Employment Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join a growing and dynamic legal team at a pivotal stage of its development.

This is a flexible role offering hybrid working with strong support and supervision for junior lawyers looking to develop their careers.

The team provides a fixed-fee employment law advisory service to SMEs and corporate clients, including a number of well-known brands. You will gain exposure to a broad mix of work, advising business owners and HR professionals on both day-to-day and complex employment matters.

Typical work includes:

  • Absence management and performance issues
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • TUPE
  • Discrimination and Employment Tribunal claims

You will be given responsibility for your own client relationships early on, with appropriate support, and will be encouraged to deliver practical, commercial and solutions-focused advice.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) with experience in employment law
  • Exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Commercially aware with a pragmatic, client-focused approach
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Keen to develop and build client relationships
