A growing vehicle technology and transport safety specialist is looking for a skilled Auto Electrician / Vehicle CCTV Engineer / Telematics Installation Engineer to support fleet operators across Brighton and the wider Sussex region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mobile Auto Electrician or Field Service Engineer who enjoys working on commercial vehicles, fault finding on complex electrical systems and installing modern vehicle technology.
You will be responsible for installing, servicing and maintaining vehicle CCTV systems, telematics equipment and onboard technology on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles used in public transport and fleet operations.

The Role
As a Field-Based Auto Electrical Engineer, you will travel to customer sites across Brighton, Sussex and the South Coast, supporting fleet operators with installation, maintenance and diagnostics of vehicle technology systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure vehicle CCTV systems, cameras, DVRs and onboard routers
- Diagnose and repair auto electrical faults on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles
- Install and commission vehicle telematics and fleet technology systems
- Configure 4G / WiFi connectivity and onboard communications equipment
- Carry out vehicle diagnostics and electrical fault finding
- Complete digital job reports and service documentation
- Work independently across multiple fleet operator locations
- Liaise with technical support teams and customers to resolve technical issues
Skills & Experience Required
We are interested in candidates with experience in roles such as:
- Auto Electrician
- Vehicle CCTV Engineer
- Telematics Installation Engineer
- Bus or Coach Electrical Engineer
- Vehicle Technology Engineer
- Mobile Field Service Engineer (Automotive)
Technical experience:
- Strong auto electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience installing mobile CCTV systems
- Knowledge of vehicle cameras, DVRs and routers
- Experience with vehicle telematics or tracking systems
- Understanding of CAN Bus or vehicle electrical systems
- Experience working on buses, coaches or commercial vehicles
- Familiarity with 4G / WiFi connectivity
- Ideally experience with Timspace systems
- Good IT and diagnostic skills
