Job Description:

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dundee, is currently looking to recruit an Interim Senior Business Partner for a 6 month contract with possibility of extension on a rate of £290.17 – £321.21/day (Inside IR35).

Responsibilities:

– Interim Senior Business Parter – Human Resources to support the Head of HR to develop and manage the HR business partnering team providing services.

– Provide visible leadership, management and vision for the HR function and deliver a cohesive HR support service across the organisation.

Essential Skills:

– Educated to degree level or equivalent.

– Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) qualified.

– Significant experience in managing HR operational work.

– Experience of developing, implementing and managing complex, customer and delivery focused projects and strategies for people-related issues.

– Strong proven track record of successful project delivery of workforce change/organisational development projects.

– Experience of managing a team or project teams.

– Workload planning, prioritisation and allocation experience to ensure sufficient skilled employees are deployed to meet the needs of the organisation.

– Direct experience of working in partnership with trade unions.

– Detailed knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice with ability to develop HR policies and procedures.

– Understanding and management ability to deliver multiple projects.

– Understanding of key external developments in HR and the opportunities these offer to the organisation.

– Excellent communicator and influencer, both verbally and in written formats.

– Strong negotiation skills.

– Strong chairing, presentation and facilitation skills.

– Possesses an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving, drawing on both creative and analytical skills.

– Commitment to equality and diversity issues.

– IT literate, using the most effective methods to communicate and manage information.

– Ability to make sure that the HR function conducts itself in accordance with the highest standards of integrity, honesty and transparency.

– Able to drive continuous improvement and solid performance management.

– Able to form constructive relationships with managers and staff at all levels of the organisation.

Desirable Skills:

– Qualified in BPS level 1 and 2 occupational testing.

– An understanding or evidence of adapting to central and local government, their environments and people management.

– Demonstrates understanding of the social and health care agenda.

– Understanding of corporate governance.

– Knowledge and understanding of health, safety and well-being legislation and best practice. and able to develop health, safety and well-being policies and procedures.

– Able to coach colleagues to become more effective in meeting organisational requirements.
