Job Description: Conveyancing Assistant

A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing department at its office in Birkenhead.
The successful candidate will support experienced conveyancers with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions, ensuring matters progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.
This role offers the opportunity to develop within a supportive legal environment, with clear progression opportunities within residential conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and setting up new client files on the case management system
- Preparing and issuing contract packs for sale transactions
- Ordering searches, Land Registry documents and redemption statements
- Assisting with and responding to pre-contract enquiries
- Reviewing search results, mortgage offers, Source of Funds and Stamp Duty documentation
- Preparing contract documentation for clients to sign on purchase transactions
- Preparing completion statements and completion packs
- Coordinating exchange of contracts and completion for sale and purchase transactions
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors, providing updates and assisting with queries
- Supporting conveyancers with file management, title checks and progressing matters from instruction through to completion
Experience:
- Knowledge of the Conveyancing process
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
