Senior Formulation Chemist

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and execute new product development projects according to company timelines and specifications
• Prepare formulation breakdowns, material safety data sheets (MSDS), product specifications, and relevant documentation
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of Product Information Files (PIF)
• Ensure all new products comply with relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Propose and evaluate potential product claims based on efficacy and compliance
• Prepare cost calculations for new products, including raw materials and production
• Conduct internal stability testing to ensure product quality over shelf life
• Arrange external testing for NPD purposes, including regulatory and consumer testing
• Review and perform artwork checks during the development phase
• Support scale-up from prototype to mass production, troubleshooting manufacturing or design issues

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
• Proven experience in new product development, formulation, or a similar role ( at least 5 years)
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., EU Cosmetics Regulations, BPR…)
• Experience with product documentation, including MSDS, PIF, specifications, and stability reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
• Creative and innovative thinking for product ideation and improvement
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing or scale-up challenges
