Governance Oversight Manager.

Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced governance professional to lead the operational delivery of key executive committees in a complex, regulated environment. You will manage a small team, ensuring committees have the right materials, processes, and oversight to make effective strategic decisions. This role involves shaping governance frameworks, optimising operations, and collaborating with multiple internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end operations of executive committees, including agendas, papers, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality information is provided to support decision-making.
  • Develop and improve governance processes, reporting templates, and tools.
  • Act as a liaison across Risk, Internal Audit, Finance, and operational teams.
  • Lead and develop a small team, overseeing day-to-day delivery and performance.
  • Promote consistent governance practices and effective communication across functions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong operational and governance experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage cross-functional processes.
  • Experience providing Secretariat or committee support in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience managing small teams and optimising operations.
  • Familiarity with governance tools (Dynamics, Power BI, SharePoint) is desirable.
