Development Analyst (FP&A) – Real Estate

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work across live development projects, new acquisitions, and portfolio performance — supporting decision making through financial analysis and market insight.

You will gain exposure to the full property development lifecycle and play a key role in evaluating opportunities and monitoring the performance and success of ongoing schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update, and review development appraisals based on evolving cost, sales, and financing inputs
  • Produce funding reports for equity and debt providers
  • Support the process of securing development finance, including coordinating required information
  • Assist with financial monitoring of live projects, including cost tracking; monthly drawdowns; identifying and addressing cost overruns; monitoring loan covenants
  • Contribute to internal board presentations and reporting
  • Review financial statements of prospective tenants and contractors to assess risk
  • Collect and analyse sustainability data
  • Maintain and update development and pipeline databases
  • Support new site acquisitions, bids, and investment proposals
  • Conduct market research and gather evidence to support development decisions
  • Attend site visits, industry events, and stakeholder meetings

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years’ experience in real estate, property, or a related field
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of property financial modelling and cashflows
  • Knowledge of property investment and development principles
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, driven, and commercially minded with a strong work ethic
