Charity Solicitor – 4+ PQE

A well-respected multi-office firm with locations across London is looking for a Senior Associate or Junior Partner to join their successful Charities team. The team is close nit, handling a diverse caseload of non contentious governance, and regulatory compliance matters including registrations, advisory matters, trustee duties and more, for charities, philanthropic organisations, and senior stakeholders.
Due to the departure of a senior team member, there is an opportunity to join this team with some management duties and excellent career progression. Responsibilities:
- Manage caseload of files dealing effectively with a variety of Charity matters to include the formation and management of philanthropic organisations, the acquisition and mergers of charities, standards and compliance, and more.
- Assist senior Partners and junior legal professionals with matters, offering overall team support.
- Dealing directly with clients across the sector, exercising the highest standard of care, taking instructions, and ensuring full compliance while building relationships and exercising excellent communication skills.
- Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events.
- Input and assist with the development of the team.
Skills and Experience:
- UK qualified Solicitor with 4+years post qualification experience.
- Strong relevant experience (preferably charity law but other relevant experience within the sector will be considered) with high quality clients within London.
- Strong academic background.
- Understanding and interest of the charities sector and relevant caselaw.
- A pleasant personality and strong interpersonal skills while interacting with clients and colleagues.
