Crude Oil Trader

Our client, a fully integrated energy company, is looking to hire an experienced Crude Derivatives Trader, to focus on the North Sea market.  

You will be part of a dynamic and well established trading team in London working collaboratively to maximise both the paper and physical BFOET activity. 

Main responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a profitable derivatives trading portfolio
• Collaborate with paper trading colleagues to process refinery hedging requirements as well as third-party physical trading demands
• Manage market exposures through various derivative instruments
• Identify new trading opportunities and develop strategies 
• Work closely with the wider trading team to maximise earnings for the crude desk

Experience Required:

• Prior experience in oil derivatives trading – ideally North Sea crude 
• Strong understanding of physical and paper oil markets
• Proven ability to develop trading strategies and manage exposures
• Strong track record of career progression in a trading environment
