Owen Reed is looking for a Legal PA for a top law firm in London.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal PA to provide first-class support to a team of lawyers within a busy litigation environment. The Role

As a Legal PA, you will play a key role in supporting lawyers across a range of litigation matters. You will be responsible for managing diaries, coordinating workflows, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, editing, and proofreading a wide range of legal documentation, including pleadings, skeleton arguments, submissions, and disclosure materials
  • Managing document production processes, including formatting, redlining, and document comparisons
  • Organising and preparing court bundles, hearing files, and client meeting materials
  • Managing complex Outlook diaries, scheduling meetings, court dates, and appointments
  • Supporting all stages of litigation, including disclosure and e-filing via systems such as CE-File and other online portals
  • Assisting with client onboarding processes, including engagement letters, conflict checks, and matter opening procedures
  • Recording fee-earner time, supporting the billing process, and liaising with accounts to issue invoices
  • Processing expenses in line with firm policies
  • Providing administrative support across teams, including overflow work when required
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality across all client and firm matters
  • Providing occasional reception cover during busy periods or absences

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ Legal PA experience within a mid-to-large law firm environment
  • Experience supporting multiple fee earners within litigation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word (including styles, track changes, and document comparison) and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with NetDocuments, Best Authority, and Adobe Acrobat is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Experience with e-filing systems such as CE-File
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Professional, confident, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Legal Secretarial Diploma/Certificate and/or a minimum of 5 years’ litigation experience
