Pupil Support Assistant Dalry Primary School Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Dalry is a diverse and multicultural primary school & nursery, 5min walk from Haymarket Station. We are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our enthusiastic and committed team, and to be part of our positive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the school team, assisting in meeting the educational, care, and welfare needs of all pupils, and ensuring those with additional support needs can effectively access the curriculum and be supported on a one to one basis when appropriate. The post holder will be required to support pupils in the classroom, playground, and throughout the school learning environment, providing support, assistance and encouragement to help each individual child achieve the best learning outcomes possible. This is a highly active role working outdoors and indoors over all floors of a Victorian building with multiple stairs. Experience of working as a Pupil Support Assistant, and supporting children with additional support needs is preferable. Other knowledge & skills required include a good basic education and standard of Maths and English to SQA standard grade level or equivalent, good communication skills and planning and organisational skills.
