Advertisement Details Learning Support Assistant Under the direction of the Head Teacher, the Learning Support Assistants expected to support the delivery of high quality primary education and learning which effectively meets the needs of children. The main duties of the Learning Support Assistant are:-~ To support and work closely with the teacher in delivering a quality curriculum, linked to local and national guidelines;

~ To work closely with the teacher in implementing the planned learning experiences, including taking groups for specific activities, and supporting the children’s development and learning;

Crossing Patrol Attendant The School Crossing Patrol Attendant (SCPA) is responsible for ensuring children cross the road safely at the designated crossing patrol point. The SCPA encourages appropriate behaviour from the children as they approach and leave the crossing point. The SCPA raises children’s awareness of road safety and potential hazards. Bell’s Brae Primary School is a non-denominational school located in central Lerwick. It consists of a Primary, an Early Learning and Childcare Setting and an ASN department. The school catchment area is from Frakkafield encompassing the majority of Lerwick, excluding Sound. There is currently a total of 300 pupils on the roll. The school is managed by Mrs Julia McGinlay, Head Teacher and 3 Depute Head Teachers. The current staffing complement is 21 teachers assisted by support staff, as required, to meet school demands. Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour~ Permanent Part Time post for 34.24 Hours per Week~39 weeks per year plus 6.24 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays.~ A relocation package does not apply to this post~ We are happy to talk flexible working
