The Role of an English Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Support students in developing literacy skills, confidence, and a love of English
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies that support student progress and wellbeing

The Ideal English Teacher Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching English in a secondary setting
  • Be able to inspire and engage pupils of all abilities
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ learning
