This is a great opportunity for a mid-level infrastructure engineer who wants more ownership and variety without stepping into a full “Head of IT” role.
You’ll be the person responsible for keeping the organisation’s IT running day-to-day, while also helping improve and modernise how things are done. It’s a hands‑on role in a fast‑moving environment, where you’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems as they come up, and gradually shape the IT setup as the business grows.
This would suit someone with a few years of infrastructure experience who enjoys being close to the tech, likes autonomy, and is comfortable working across both technical and non‑technical teams. No two weeks will look the same, and you’ll be involved in longer‑term improvements and projects.

Key responsibilities
- Leading upgrades, improvements and ongoing modernisation of the IT environment
- Owning day‑to‑day IT operations, infrastructure and core systems
- Making sure systems remain secure, resilient and scalable as the organisation grows
- Acting as the main technology contact for both technical and non‑technical teams
- Managing relationships with third‑party suppliers and vendors
- Overseeing cybersecurity, data protection and overall system reliability
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience working across IT infrastructure and operations
- Broad, hands‑on knowledge of networks, hardware, cloud services and applications
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Clear communicator with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
- Able to stay calm and effective in fast‑paced or time‑sensitive situations
