We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Cyber Security with the drive to deliver high-quality teaching, develop a credible research profile, and engage meaningfully with industry. This is an opportunity to join a growing and ambitious department committed to producing work‑ready graduates and delivering impact beyond the University.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching across core areas such as network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics and cloud security, bringing current technical knowledge into the classroom.
  • Design and deliver practice‑led teaching that reflects contemporary industry standards and tools, challenging students to operate in realistic, problem‑driven environments.
  • Establish and develop a research profile in cyber security or a closely related discipline, contributing to high‑quality outputs, engaging in collaborative research, and working towards external funding where appropriate. Applied research that connects with real‑world challenges and has the potential to generate impact beyond academia is particularly desired.
  • Contribute to the School’s knowledge exchange and enterprise activity, engaging with external partners and supporting student employability. This role is not purely academic and requires confidence across teaching, research, and external engagement.
  • Shape provision, build a clear academic trajectory, and contribute to a department committed to growth, relevance, and impact.
