Meet the team behind this journey

This role sits as part of our GTM Operations team who focus on all things under sales strategy and operations. It’s a regionally spread team of outcome-obsessed thinkers who are here to roll up their sleeves and help build a scaling organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage global sales commission plans that align with our company goals and strategy.
  • Assist with setting quotas, modeling incentives, and analyzing how well the plans are working.
  • Build smart simulations to predict commission costs and ensure our plans stay within budget.
  • Act as the “go-to” expert for sales reps & sales leaders, providing training and clear communication on plan mechanics to build trust and transparency.
  • Work hand-in-hand with HR and Finance to keep our policies consistent and our strategies aligned.
  • Master the day-to-day operations while saving time for strategic long-term projects that support the scale of DeepL.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to support compensation processes.
  • Ensure that diversity and fairness are at the heart of every pay structure we build.
  • Embrace our AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and find smarter ways to deliver impact.

Qualities we look for

  • Experience working in a Sales Compensation / Commission Manager or Analyst position within a high growth technology organisation, ideally SaaS.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing complex, multi-layered commission plans for go-to-market roles such as SDRs, Account Executives, Solution Consultants, Partner Managers, etc.
  • Experience working with sales compensation technology tools such as Everstage, Xactly as well as CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to model financial data using Excel and / or G-Sheets.
  • Commercial mindset with a deep understanding of sales culture and passionate about how a strategic compensation strategy can impact company goals.
  • Adaptability and growth mindset to embrace change in a high growth scale-up.
