Reporting to their assigned Project/Delivery Lead, the Salesforce Functional Lead will primarily be responsible for working with Clients to define, design a solution which meets the criteria outlined in their Statement of Work.
- To lead a team in the successful delivery of a solution in line with what was sold
- To engage with senior stakeholders and end users to analyse and design solutions
- Provide input into process improvements
Requirements
- Lead the design and delivery of Salesforce solutions in alignment with client expectations and project scope.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and end users to analyze business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Guide and mentor project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and methodologies
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce, offering strategic guidance to internal teams
- Conduct technical interviews in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
- Participate in Tech Lead forums and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Facilitate and lead client workshops, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Own and contribute to High-Level Design documentation and user story refinement
- Occasionally lead consultancy-led engagements independently
- Support pre-sales activities, including discovery workshops, solution summaries, and estimates
- Review and approve solution summaries and estimates prepared by Sales teams
- Plan and manage deployment processes in accordance with company standards
- Maintain up-to-date Salesforce certifications and release knowledge
- Identify and promote reusable assets such as design patterns, principles, and technical components
- Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the project team
- Jitterbit or Mulesoft (desirable)
- Certified Administrator
- Advanced progress in either the Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification path
