Housing Management Coordinator

Pay £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum, pro rata) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan.

Permanent, part time (20 hpw).

Location: Southampton.

Overview

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team at St Marys Road. As our Housing and Property Guru, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. You’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts to help them move on to secure, long‑term accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Customer group – manage a ten‑bed shared accommodation with adults with mental health and dual diagnoses.
  • Ensure customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
  • Assist customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring they are received on their rent accounts.
  • Issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
  • Prepare vacant rooms for the next customers to maximise occupancy, meeting set timescales.
  • Maintain health and safety compliance and uphold maintenance standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
  • Know‑how of re‑letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
  • Ability to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all backgrounds.
  • Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and with external partners.

Practical bits

  • Work pattern is based on an 8‑week rolling rota.
  • Based at our service in Southampton.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims, and doing tenancy sign‑ups.
  • Enhanced DBS check required – we will pay for it.
