About the role
We are seeking a professional, organised and reliable administrator to support key student administrative processes within the school.
The role focuses particularly on attendance administration, behaviour records and Alternative Provision administration, ensuring that student information is recorded accurately and that administrative systems supporting the school day run smoothly.
Working closely with the Administrative Officer and wider staff team, you will help maintain clear records and support processes that underpin safeguarding, behaviour monitoring and student welfare.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate student attendance records and updating absence information on the school information system
- Producing daily attendance information such as late arrival and early departure lists
- Liaising with staff to resolve missing or incorrect register marks
- Preparing and maintaining behaviour and incident records
- Maintaining records relating to students accessing Alternative Provision, including attendance information from external providers
- Ensuring accurate documentation for students educated off-site
- Booking student transport and taxis, including checking confirmations and invoices
- Maintaining operational records such as incident logs and evacuation roll calls
- Supporting medication administration in line with school procedures
- Filing and maintaining accurate documentation relating to students and staff
This is a varied role where attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work calmly in a busy environment are essential.
The role works 37 hours per week, term time only (plus one week).

- Is organised, reliable and able to work accurately with detailed information
- Has strong attention to detail, particularly when maintaining records
- Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, students and families
- Can remain calm and methodical in a busy school environment
- Is confident using IT systems and willing to learn Arbor
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
- Works well as part of a team and supports colleagues when needed

Prospect School is a specialist SEMH provision for boys aged 11 to 16, where every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Our administrative team plays a vital role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and that students receive the structured support they need to succeed.
