This is a pivotal and high-impact role within Tesco Mobile. As our Senior Business Resilience Manager, you’ll act as the organisation’s subject matter expert for all aspects of business resilience, providing strategic advice, assurance, and transparent reporting on how resilience is embedded across the business. In this role, you will take full ownership of our Business Continuity Management System, ensuring it remains effective, robust, and fully compliant with all internal policies and external regulatory standards. You will drive the development, accuracy, and ongoing maturity of business continuity plans, using KPIs and OKRs to measure effectiveness and ensure plans are embedded and regularly tested across the organisation. You will also lead the continuous assessment, testing, and enhancement of Disaster Recovery capabilities, ensuring our technology services can be restored within agreed recovery objectives and in line with regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven subject matter expertise in Business Resilience, with a minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, or Operational Resilience.
- Strong working knowledge of Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) and alignment to ISO 22301.
- Hands‑on experience designing, delivering, and improving IT Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities, including RTO/RPO validation, recovery mechanisms, and structured DR test programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and interpret operational risks, critical business outcomes, dependencies, and resilience requirements across diverse functions.
- Experience developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans, response frameworks, and resilience documentation.
- Understanding of crisis and incident management frameworks, including crisis team activation and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with risk management and governance fundamentals, including reporting, compliance monitoring, and escalation.
- Basic understanding of Information Security principles relevant to operational and technology resilience.
- Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks applicable to the Telecoms and Retail sectors, including operational resilience expectations and DR requirements.
- Ability to administer and maintain resilience tooling or platforms, ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date records.
- Able to work in a flexible, agile, and proactive manner, responding confidently to changing priorities, emerging risks, and incidents.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to provide clear guidance to stakeholders at all levels and drive resilience maturity across an organisation.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with Technology, Architecture, and operational teams to strengthen DR and continuity capabilities.
